Live Well Nutrition Consulting

Nutritionist

I earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nutrition at Penn State University and completed a dietetic internship at Indiana University Medical Center. I became registered as a dietitian in 1987 and attained a Master of Arts in Environmental Education at Arcadia University in 1996. From 1992 to 1999, I taught science in a Philadelphia suburban school district.

In 1997, I began creating food avoidance lists so that my son, who had dozens of food allergies, could remain healthy. With each passing school year, I made note of information that would be helpful to parents of children with food allergies. These lists grew and transformed for more than a decade. In 2008, I discovered Oxford Biomedical Technologies' Mediator Release Test (MRT) and Lifestyle Eating And Performance (LEAP) program, which test and treat food sensitivities. These were used to eliminate my migraines, sinus discomfort, arthritis pain, and geographic tongue. The results were phenomenal and therefore prompted me to become certified as a LEAP Therapist.

LEAP therapists are registered dietitians who are trained by Oxford Biomedical Technologies, the foremost authority on food sensitivity testing. My success with this program led to the birth of Live Well Nutrition Consulting. Having a child with multiple food allergies, and experiencing successful treatment of my own food sensitivities, motivated me to help others with food allergies and sensitivities. The compilation of data, initially intended for my son, has developed into handouts for nutrition consultants. It is my hope that dietitians will use these handouts to educate their clients about food allergies and sensitivities, so that more children and adults can live well.
